Volunteer Park

Last week, I wrote about Pike Place Market in Seattle. It is fun to be in the midst of thousands of people from all over the world. But I do prefer a more quiet atmosphere. One of my favorite places in Seattle is Volunteer Park. It is quite a large park, and it includes the Seattle Asian Art Museum and the Volunteer Park Conservatory. We enjoy taking walks through the trees and hydrangeas, which are in bloom right now. We always make a point to go into the Volunteer Park Conservatory, where they grow a beautiful selection of plants and flowers. It is rather amazing to think of the endless patterns, textures, and colors in nature!
